Never operate this generator indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed area. Carbon monoxide from engine exhaust can be fatal. Keep it outdoors, away from windows and vents. Permanent connections require a qualified electrician.
The D10000 is the high-output portable in the Norfield lineup: 10,000 running watts and 12,500 starting watts, dual-fuel, with a 14-50R 50-amp receptacle in addition to 30A locking outlets and household duplexes.
A fuel selector on the panel switches gasoline and propane. A V.F.T. display reports voltage, frequency, and hours. Electric start is supported by a 12V 18Ah sealed battery mounted on the frame, with recoil backup.
This class of machine is for outdoor job sites and properly planned home backup — not indoor use, not enclosed garages, and not DIY panel work. A 50A hookup to a building requires a qualified electrician.
Specifications are manufacturer catalog figures for these models. Certification marks are omitted unless a unit carries them. GTINs are published when assigned.
When you need the extra running watts, a 50A receptacle, or more 240V headroom for well pumps, larger shops, or more simultaneous circuits. If your load sheet fits under 7,500 running watts, the D7500 is usually the better match.
No. Use the fuel selector and the correct supply. Do not put propane in the gasoline tank. Follow the owner’s literature for switching fuels.
Only with a matching inlet and transfer method installed by a qualified electrician. Cord adapters are not a substitute for a legal interlock or transfer switch.
