Never operate this generator indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed area. Carbon monoxide from engine exhaust can be fatal. Keep it outdoors, away from windows and vents. Permanent connections require a qualified electrician.
The D7500 is Norfield’s core home-backup portable: 7,500 running watts and 9,375 starting watts on a wheeled open frame, with a 120/240V selector and an L14-30R locking outlet for a properly installed inlet.
It runs on gasoline or propane. Propane usually means a small drop in available watts versus gasoline — plan circuits around the fuel you will actually use in an outage.
This is the machine in our driveway photography: outdoors, on open air, corded to an exterior inlet. Never operate it inside a garage, even with the door open. Have a qualified electrician install any transfer equipment or inlet box. Do not backfeed a dryer outlet.
Specifications are manufacturer catalog figures for these models. Certification marks are omitted unless a unit carries them. GTINs are published when assigned.
It can cover many essential circuits — refrigerator, some lights, a well pump in some homes, and selected 240V loads — if a transfer switch or interlock is installed correctly. It will not replace a sized standby system for a large all-electric house. Add your actual running and starting watts.
Yes for any connection to household wiring, an inlet box, or transfer equipment. Use a generator cord only into a matching inlet that a qualified electrician has installed. Never backfeed through a wall outlet.
Outdoors, on open ground, well away from windows, doors, and vents. Not in a garage, carport enclosure, or against the house.
